Hokkaido Travel 2023

This trip took 6 months on paper (I had booked this around Dec 2022)   before it came into fruition ( when it went out of the chatgroup). Money spend, tickets booked, hotels and tons of research was done (and Yes, you can do Hokkaido without renting a car) . You just need apps (Thank God for this because they were really heaven sent. Thank you Jorudan ) and research on which hotels has airport bus stops and luggage storage that can help you store your big luggage while you saunter off to other regions.( Yamato Transport can only keep the luggage max of 7 Days before it ships to your hotel of choice. ) Some tips:    Allot 2-3 hrs of your free time at chitose airport  (Plenty of things to do and plenty of things to shop). Do not buy medicine at the airport (costs more expensive than that in Bic Camera or Donki)   do note of the frequent gate changes.  The domestic airport only has a few things once you are inside the gate (vending machine for drinks, an ...

2024 South Korea Trip Day 1 : Welcome to seoul

The plan is now set into motion (after countless of hours of research) and after 12 years,  I am back again in Seoul. This time around the plane landed in ICN T2 and I took Korean Air.    ICN T2 is like a budget terminal and it seems like nothing much was there. There was no NewJeans sign to welcome you to Seoul (or did I miss it). It was very bare and like an after thought. (or just built anew, but the whole lot was dedicated specifically to their flag carrier, Korean Air. The departure was quiet too , no paps on site) Clearing the immigration was such a breeze. There wasn't much people in the counters when we landed at 6AM.  It was just working our way to immigration. Meeting the immigration officer (just ensure that you have eTAs or visa to enter the country, and of course passport must be valid within 6 months), then it was off to baggage claim and customs. 2023 Hokkaido Trip Day 11: The final leg

 On the final leg of our trip, we decided to go around the tourist attractions near the city, which will stretch from Sapporo Station to Odori Park (or the whole Tanukikoji Shopping Street) . There were so much things to see that it didn't feel like you've walked far. .. that's the whole stretch of Odori Park to Sapporo Station. All in all, you can practically just walk above and underground.  First stop was Odori Park ( it is kind of walking distance from our hotel at Tanukikoji 6 )   we decided to skip breakfast since we want to taste   Toukibi  Jaga Butter (Jagaimo with butter) .  Finding the toukibi wagon wasn't that hard. it was nice to have a view of the park while enjoying toukibi and  buttered potato  Tip:  You must eat the toukibi corn while its piping hot  ( they are worthwhile - one of the sweetest corn that I've eaten and also eating the Jaga Butter is heavenly @  400yen .)   from afar , you can see the cl...
