How to prepare to get the concert tix of a lifetime (not sure why I decided to get this..as I am just trying & am not sure if i will yield the tix to my younger sister. I don't actually mind) Queuing for the coveted tickets  T-3hrs - Login to ticketmaster account (and setup your workspace, 1 LAN, 1 Wifi)  on microsoft edge (I've learned enough to do this standard practice)  T-20min (and below) - Holding area open ( they do randomly assign numbers)  (Whatever they were saying about refreshing - not working , it will just be randomly assigned like how my queue numbers were, but at least i tried to be wise to queue using 3 devices and having to log in before the whole thing starts, like 9am)  Phone: 126693 (10mins before) , LAN: 303989 (18mins before) and Laptop   64694 (17mins before) Tickets secured for Laptop : 1330 (1h30mins)  Only left with single tickets and some vip tickets. 2023 Hokkaido Trip Day 08: Day Trip to Otaru

Image
We started our day going to Otaru, we just tapped our Suica cards and board the first train we saw for Otaru. (You actually need not have a Hokkaido Rail pass at this stage anymore)  Tips:   You just need to get your bearings via Transit Planner app (and google maps) and you are ready to explore Otaru.  First jump to the nearest Rapid Airport / Local Train that goes to Otaru. check out timings and check out the platform from where you will ride the train. Best to check with Navitime or Japan Transit Planner . Note for Rapid Airport there are train cabins that are reserved , so be sure to sit on the Non-Reserved cabin .  Go furthest up and then proceed to go down the opposite side (when going home) to maximize time and place while in Otaru (basically , it was all a walking trail)   For a change, it was nice to not have the luggage once in a while. and 45 mins later, we reached the town of Otaru. The first order of business is to go Sankaku Market (because we didn't really had break

2023 Hokkaido Trip Day 07 : KKDay Tour : Jigokudani - Cape Chikyuu - Showa Shinzan - Lake Toya

The other (final tour) that I did for this trip since I can't drive. I took ..  KLook/ HIS KKDay Tour : Jigokudani - Cape Chikyuu - Showa Shinzan - Lake Toya  Tour: Chinese, Japanese (and English)  Remark: The tour guide did not explain more info in English. Only critical timings were discussed in ALL language. Most info are in Jp or Chinese (if you know both, you will be fine). I find that this is better paced than the last tour because it gave us more time to eat our lunch.  Tips:   Your meeting point once you alight the bus are usually the parking lot meant for tour buses. You need to know the car plate number as there are buses of the same brand.  Bring your own food (sandwiches preferably) and have a nice little picnic by the lake in case you do not have time for lunch (or do want to eat and enjoy the park!)  Sit on the left side of the bus (opposite the driver side) for better views.  If you are keen on doing the foot bath (after your lunch), you need to bring your own towel
