Review: Itazura Na Kiss (2013 & 2014)

Image
One of the series that gets a remake more often that not is Kaoru Tada's Itazura na Kiss (1990-1999). Perhaps, it's the endearment of the series that transcends through time that made this series adaptable and relatable to the new generation of viewers, and thus a new adaptation has been born yet again ... Casts: Miki Honoka, Yuki Furukawa, Yamada Yuki Date Aired:  29 March 2013 - 19 Jul 2013 ( season 1);  24 Nov 2014 - 23 March 2015 (season 2) Date Watched: 24 - 31 Aug 2017  ( Started with episode 7 from 2015 till now ) Summary: Kotoko Aihara, is a cheery 16 year old girl who had one-sided love to the school's popular boy, Naoko Irie. PSA: How to avoid a Rental Scam

Image
We were almost got duped by a scam! Good thing to our better judgement, we decided to cutoff ties with this jerk. If he/she prods further, we will definitely make a police report! ( Let this be a warning to potential scammers, we will not let this go sitting down! I hope others will also learn from this episode) Telltale signs that it was indeed a scam!  #1 : A mysterious person will message you (SMS) My housemate approach me one night to tell me about a name suddenly appearing out of the blue on her phone. I thought nothing of it, as I thought her phone number was a recycled number and the previous owner of the phone number was trying to contact her. But we were both surprised, because normally, if a stranger messages you, the number will appear on the phone, this was different.  And incidentally, that strange person was inquiring about the room that we just advertised. We thought it was an answered prayer, as the day of my housemate leaves was drawing

Changi Airport Terminal 4 Open House

Image
We managed to snatch up some tickets to go to the T4 open house, so one fine day, we decided to take a look and see what the new terminal has to offer. Going to the T4 open house Prior to going to the open house, we were not able to get prior information on where to catch the shuttle. Since this is Singapore, they were kind enough to put up signs from MRT to the extraction point. So from MRT, we alighted and went to the exit near terminal 3 from Changi Airport MRT station. We followed the signs to lead us to take the free shuttle bus to the T4 Open House. (The Shuttle is at T3 Coach parking lot, and the queue leading to it is at Mcdonald's Arrival Hall T3 -- which is in the other end of the spectrum of T3 if you're coming from the MRT) The bus ride takes about 6 minutes long.  Arriving at T4  As with any terminal, you have to check-in. The staff will guide you to the check-in point. During the open house, we were pointed to direction of the gr

Boarding the Hello Kitty plane

Image
While we were en-route to Canada, we happened to board a Hello Kitty plane from SIN-TPE via Eva Air. It was a sheer utter coincidence as we did not have a clue that we were about to board a Hello Kitty plane. We did not pay extra for it nor did we apply for it in advance. All along, we just know that we were going to TPE (Taipei) via Eva Air when we booked the tickets. Check-in We were informed during check-in that the plane we will be boarding was a plane adorned with Hello Kitty. The ground staff checked in our luggage and stick them with Hello Kitty tags ( from which we threw away afterwards) and printed our Hello Kitty boarding pass. We were slowly being acclimatized that we were really going to board a Hello Kitty plane.   We then proceeded to wait at the gate. View of the plane from the gate.  On board the plane The plane was just adorned with just the seat top cover with Hello Kitty and friends, and a small pillow ( You can't take it back, of course!)
