USA West Coast Tour : Day 03 Reno - Twin Falls - Pocatello (Idaho)

Another long day drive and it's only 2 spots for the day As early as the crack of dawn, I had to wake up and leave the hotel by 0700. There was no time for breakfast. Like a soldier, it was a routine to wake up, shower and pack up.  Today was a long drive on the interstate. Drive to Nevada From Reno, it was a 2hr drive To the first stop at Millcity, Nevada. The bus had a stopover at one of the convenience stores, the first of many,  so you can get your breakfast here. I had to remind myself that the convenience stores in the US don't have much selection when you compared to Japan. The staples are snacks, chips, cold drinks, and a hotdog sandwich stall. You have to DIY. I do recall, that there's no order of ordering things. You can bring the sandwich up and pay or pay later. Prices are pretty much the same. As for coffee, you have to bring the cup to the counter. In the US, you can pretty much order the smallest cup (and it will still be considered medium in other coun...

USA West Coast Tour : Day 2 : From San Francisco To Sacramento To Lake Tahoe

Day 2 The day started early. Departure time was at 640AM and had to meet the guide at the lobby to pass the hotel key. Afterwards, it was a journey to go San Francisco for more than an hour's ride. Itinerary for the day Lombard Street  Fisherman's Wharf  Golden Gate Bay Cruise  Golden Gate Bridge Lookout Point Sacramento State Capitol  Lake Tahoe  As per usual routine, the guide will give you a commentary on the day's itinerary and some details on the places you'll go. Today was about SFO and one of the famous landmarks is Alcatraz island (but you will only see the island in passing while on the cruise), which was once a federal prison. Then of course, the iconic Golden Gate bridge. It was a hazy day and there was a fog while crossing the bridge to SFO.
