Kdrama In Review : The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince

Synopsis: 

It's your typical gender bender series. Eun Sae has been the head of the family since her father died. One day , she meets, the prince, Choi Han Kyul ( Gong Yoo ) in a very unexpected manner.Choi Han Kyul mistakenly takes Eun Sae as a boy and asks him/her to be his gay lover for his arranged dates. Since eun sae is desperate for money, she agrees. Soon after, since choi han kyul's grandmother wants him to teach him a lesson. She asks Han Kyul to be in charge of a rundown coffee house and triple the sales in 3 months. Han Kyul inadvertedly hires Eun Sae for a job in the coffee house and That's where love blossom at the first shop of the coffee prince.  

Why I like this series 
Gong Yoo is a very likable and charming person. He puts his sincerity into the character. I kind of felt what Han Kyul was going through. 
The rapport of the supporting characters. The calefare in the story shares a good rapport. How they interact with each other seems unified. They have a good chemistry. I can't ask for a better cast.  
Humor.There was a lot of humor in the story as well . Comical scenes that made the drama really light.
A series with a few or little MV like moments ( either that or I skipped all of them. haha) Enuf said!
Hwang Min Yeop. surprisingly his character is really an underdog in the story yet his character shines. He is really a lovable character. ( R.I.P Lee Eun )
Music
The music complements the series with its bossa nova style. it really feels like you are inside a coffee shop. 

What i don't like about the series 
The ending. We all want an ending in black and white, why does the ending have to be upon the discretion of the audience
Some of the back story haven't been completely explained. Sun Ki's lover. How they come to be. It was only briefly explained in the story, they could have expounded. And i really thought Sun Ki was looking for his long lost mother.haha. 
The back story  of Han Kyul's parents. there was just this sudden gust of air that changed the character of Han Kyul's father. 

Overall 
The series is really nice to watch. It gives you that warmth and fuzzy feeling you need on a cold day. The rapport of the characters is impregnable. the characterization is really believable. A nice follow up to the series will be nice. Second shop of Coffee Prince, anyone?
