UK Itinerary 2018: Day 7 - Off To Belfast
We packed our bags and said goodbye to Hammersmith for being such a welcoming city to stay... we head to Victoria Station and boarded the gatwick Express to Gatwick Airport.
We took Gatwick Express as a precaution so that we will not be in disarray in the event that there is a delay. *knock on wood*
So Gatwick Airport is just like a normal airport, not much bigger than Heathrow. Once you reach Gatwick Airport (South Terminal), you will board a shuttle(train)to the north terminal, where EasyJet counters are.
Since we just brought our carry-on bags with us, we just need to sort out our liquid, gels, and jam in 1 plastic container ( 1 bag per person only), and went through security.
There were no flight delays so we reached Belfast at the appointed time. We reached and boared Airport Bus 300 to the city. Bus 300 has a terminal at Europa Bus Centre.
After exiting belt for bags, there's a small counter that sells ticket for the airport express. return:11gbp and ticket valid for 1 month.
airport stops at a few stops but eventually it ends at europa bus center. fr europa, bus leaves at 20min interval. there are usb ports at the back of the seat. all luggage are kept on the rack.
We went to check-in to our hotel , left our luggage, find grub, before proceeding to tour the city.
We walked to the City hall, and stayed to take a look at some of the exhibition that they have ( free entrance). City Hall closes at 1630.
How to go: From Maldron, walk straight, turn right on first corner. walk straight and turn right again.
After city Hall, we decided to go and take a look at Victoria Square. The market was closed for the day and we just went up to get a view of the city.
From Victoria Square, we went to see Arthur's Clock
Some other building near Arthur's Clock..
A church ..
and visit the Queen St. (Shops closed at 6PM). We only have the co-op store to entertain us before we went home.
